Going back to @stevenhorbury622's difficulties, I was having the same problems (replaced folders, turned off Steam Cloud sync, started the game and it started from the beginning, no save files found). However, I discovered a simple solution - ensure there is no "steam_autocloud.vdf" file in the Saved Game folder and the game will start up normally.

I'm about to move to a new pc with all the bells and whistles which also means new ssd's and a new install of everything. In the past its meant starting games from the begining but I need to know if Steam will have the saves and that I can continue from where I left off. I've tried putting game saves on a thumb drive and transfering them back to the newly installed game but it never seems to
1) The ability to wear an outfit for the stats but keep the appearance of another. I love the original outfit Aloy starts with and would love to play through the whole game with it, but it's a shame it's a low quality item.
