San Francisco. Dec 9, 2019. #3. Days Gone. It has a much better story than Far Cry 5. Its take on open world games is far from unique, but there's good worldbuilding, good characters. I liked the bike too. Far Cry 5 is by no means bad, but it's pretty much Far Cry again.
I've played Just Cause 3 and Far Cry 5. JC3 handles more like GTA, though the grappling hook, parachute and wingsuit make cars obsolete. Far Cry 5 is a standard first person shooter with upgrades as you level up. In terms of chaos, JC3 is better. In terms of shooting stuff, FC5 is better.

If an open-world FPS with crazed cultists is what someone is seeking, they need look no further than Far Cry 5 and its array of insane and outlandish DLC expansions. 4 Far Cry Primal
Also every previous Far Cry game for like the last ten years has had some hint to it's sequel with an in-game mechanic. Far Cry 4 had the Kalinag ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that was boring as hell and went on too long, basically a preview for Primal. Kind of surprised they didn't do something similar for this one.
