Download + Install all LotR: The Battle for Middle-Earth games 2021. Sons of Gondor and Rohan, my brothers. The Battle for Middle-Earth 1. For those who are going for a clean installation use the steps below to avoid confusion. 1. Install BFME2 (once installed, you don't need to do anything with it, except patching it if you wish). 2. Install RotWK. 3. Use the No-CD guide described above. 4. Download 2.01 patch using the Game Updater. Search for a folder named AppData Then open Roaming -> My Battle for Middle Earth 2 Files. You'll probably find that the folder is empty. If it is, open up notepad and save new file to that folder. It should be named Options.ini. In that file, place this data: AudioLOD = Low HasSeenLogoMovies = yes IdealStaticGameLOD = VeryLow Resolution = 800 600 Used this link to get all the files: Go to %appdata% find My Battle for middle earth ROTWK files somewhere there. Click on that folder. In that folder should be an options file. In there you can enter the display size of your screen. Save the options file. You shoud be good to go.

This needs to happen, i know there is patches out there available for download to sort out any issues with playing them on Windows 10 and/or 11 but a lot of people don't have access to the discs anymore, it's a fairly rare game as far as i've looked so this would really be nice for a lot of us who don't have the games. Bought Lord of the Rings The Battle for Middle Earth 2 and it was delivered yesterday 14th Jan 2017. disc in and installed but launches first screen but when you hit the play button it comes up with 'The BFME2 has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution Install bfme2 (1.00), then install patch 1.06. Then replace the game.dat file with the new one that allows you to play without a disc (provided in the guide). Then create an options.ini file as explained in the guide. Then start the game to test.
