Using this burner on my early 2011 macbook pro OSX lion hooked up via a powered 10 port usb hub. the Digistor website suggests hooking up this burner directly to the host but i only have 2 usb ports so its hooked up through the hub and it works fine. the battery might confuse some people. this burner has the option of using the internal battery when connected via single usb or can draw power
It's write speed is fast for Blu-Ray at 12x, and data transfer is fast with USB 3.0. It is compatible with USB 2.0, but of course you will not achieve the max write speeds with this interface. 4 Star up to this point. Mac Owners Beware: This is where my review takes a sharp dip in rating. Remember that using uncompressed video USB 2.0 maxes out at 720p30.
